Would it be possible to configure Netdata to make calls to local kubelet api only? Fluent bit kubernetes has a feature where you tell it to Use\_Kubelet to make local kubelet calls only. This is great for large clusters that can overload the kubernetes api server. Is it possible to do that now with netdata? Or could this be a new feature?

I see what you mean - reading up here on it: [(Optional) Enable the Use\_Kubelet feature for large clusters - Amazon CloudWatch](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/ContainerInsights-use-kubelet.html)

Defo sounds like a potential feature request, if possible, i’d suggest making one here: [Sign in to GitHub · GitHub](https://github.com/netdata/netdata/issues/new/choose)

(I’d do it but can be better coming from a user so we can see appetite from other users easily too then)

> In large clusters Netdata agents can cause serious stress to the ku…bernets api server. If you try starting all the agents at once they all hit the k8s api server and can actually cause it a denial of service incident.

> \### Description
>
> Allow users to set Use\_Kubelet configuration, just like Fluentbit, that instructs Netdata agents to call the local kublet server api instead of the kubernetes api server.

> One solution is to configure Netdata to query metrics from the local Kubelet, instead of hitting the kube api servers.

Thanks for looking into it
