# Ping host and telegram bot

Hello,
I want to set up monitoring of hosts using ping and sending messages about the unavailability of hosts through the telegram bot.
I installed the ping plugin according to the instructions: `https://learn.netdata.cloud/docs/agent/collectors/go.d.plugin/modules/ping`
through the command :
`./go.d.plugin -d -m ping`
made sure that the data they are going to, but I don’t see graphs in the interface on the statistics of ping requests, notifications about the absence of ping do not come through the telegram bot.
Can you please tell me how to set up the ping plugin?

After some time, the Ping section appeared in the web interface, notifications on telegrams also started working, please closed this tickets.

Hello @DS455 ,
Only to clarify, our external collectors starts sending data few seconds after `netdata` starts, this is the motive you had the delay.
Please, let us know if you have any other doubt.
