Hi, so my cloud instance seems to have a stale node that I can’t delete. Trash icon is greyed out, i looked online and I found this:

> [@Impossible to delete Stale node?](https://community.netdata.cloud/t/impossible-to-delete-stale-node/5537):
>
> I read the following [Can't delete stale nodes](https://community.netdata.cloud/t/cant-delete-stale-nodes/3909)[ability to delete unseen, stale or live nodes (other than Offline) #690](https://github.com/netdata/netdata-cloud/issues/690) But still scratching my head. How can I delete the stale node circled below? The trash can says “Delete is disabled” when I hover over it

but that didn’t help. I don’t have my nodes reporting to a parent node and I don’t have a child node. I am just reporting directly to the cloud instance.

What do I do?

Hi.

**Stale Node** : A Child node that is no longer streaming data to its Parent, though the Parent still retains the Child’s historical data.

To investigate: Click the node’s info to view its Parent instance. If the node appears as its own Parent, this indicates the node’s GUID has changed (either through deletion or a bug).

**Resolution** : The removal procedure is the same regardless of the cause.
