I also tried this solution but the installation keeps failing.
I wonder if the solution might be to customize the install script by replacing those variables …
Below the new log:

Hi @liuk4friends !
Actually, yes, we are. There is currently work to make the installer pick those paths needed by itself (at some extent is should already do). And actually your setup and your reports does give us insights to possible different situations. We will try to make this working as best as possible. Thanks for sticking with it!
Ok, if I understand correctly, I have to wait for a future release of the Netdata-kickstart.sh.
What should I do to follow the work in progress and understand when I can try again?
thank you in advance,
P.S.
In the meanwhile, I’ve been successful installing Netdata container with Docker Desktop for Mac.
It seems to be working but, without complicating the situation with new problems, some values seem strange to me (i.e. net outbound and net inbound are often at zero).
So I hope that in the future I will be able to install the specific version for Mac and update it from time to time

Thank you, thank you, thank you all!
The installation was successful and Netdata is working perfectly!
I only saw a warning and a non-fatal-error at the very end of the procedure.
For your information, below you’ll find the link to the log.
