Netdata cloud - proxmox

Hi All,

I have installed the agent for proxmox and connected it to my cloud portal. I haven’t done any changes since I did this and when I login, at times I see a second node of the same name (I am guessing this was because of a disconnect between the web and the agent). Is there a way to prevent multiple entries from showing up on the portal for the same node?

Hey, @Bloodyskullz. Are you using a static build? If so, it was a bug.

It’s been so long, I don’t even remember. I am pretty sure I followed a guide to get it installed. Is there a way to update the agent or do I have to uninstall and reinstall?

Why do you want to update/uninstall/reinstall?

To have a version that doesn’t have this bug.

I just looked at my history in the shell, i think I just installed a regular debian package. Might explain why things are wonky??

It had a bunch of claim values in it.

No, there were no issues with the Debian package.

It had a bunch of claim values in it.

What does that mean?

wget -O /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh https://get.netdata.cloud/kickstart.sh && sh /tmp/netdata-kickstart.sh --nightly-channel --claim-token XXXX --claim-rooms XXXX --claim-url https://app.netdata.cloud

This is what I entered into the shell at the time.
