Hi everyone,
We are reaching out to inform you we have planned a service update for Netdata Cloud on Tuesday, June 21st. We will use this time to migrate Netdata services to another Cloud provider.
Maintenance window start: June 21, 2022, 8:00 UTC
Maintenance window end: June 22, 2022, 8:00 UTC
We estimate Netdata Cloud will be available within 8 hours after the start of maintenance; however, we are extending the maintenance window to 24 hours to ensure services are working as expected, all agents are successfully reconnected, and the data backlog is processed.
During the service update, Netdata Cloud is scheduled for down time and will be completely unavailable for approximately 8 hours. After the migration and the initial 8-hour window, you may experience a temporary degradation of the service.
All updates will be on Netdata’s status page. Subscribe to them directly, or track updates by following our Twitter feed (@linuxnetdata).
How does this affect me?
You will experience the following during this period:
- Access to the UI will be unavailable
- Alert or health notifications will be unavailable with the exception of Netdata Cloud, and Agent notifications
- You will be unable to view Nodes connected to Netdata Cloud
Once Netdata Cloud becomes available, we will continue to be under the maintenance window. We expect services to be working as normal, however, we will evaluate and audit to ensure uptime and stability of the platform.
At this stage, you may experience potential impacts on any of the following actions:
- Creating a new Space and/or War Room
- Inviting Users to your Space and/or War Room
- Creating custom Dashboards
- Connecting new Nodes to Netdata Cloud
If impacts occur outside of the scheduled maintenance, please submit an issue on GitHub.
What action should I take?
We advise you during this maintenance window to rely on your Agent local dashboards and alerting capabilities to keep your monitoring and troubleshooting activities operating.
Communicate as needed with your Netdata Cloud admin and users and subscribe to our status page to receive updates on uptime, disruptions, and reported incidents.
As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding!
