go.d checks one after the other

Hello,
I wish to use Netdata to monitor that all my clients’ websites are always online and their SSL certificates are valid. I have configured the module, but I’m stuck: all requests are being made simultaneously, and some of them are failing. Is it possible to ask Netdata to perform the go.d checks one after the other?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, @PeSupiot. I am pretty sure the fact that all requests are being made simultaneously has nothing to do with your problem.

and some of them are failing.

Can you show the error message?

Hello @ilyam8 , thank you for your response.
Some of my requests end in a Timeout because there are too many requests in a short amount of time. Therefore, I would like to be able to ask the system to wait for the previous one to finish or x seconds before launching the next one.
Thank you for your help.

Those requests are independent and each of them has its own timeout.

You can change timeout for every data collection job via configuration. Change update_every accordingly.

Here is an example (assuming you use httpcheck):

jobs:
  - name: cool_website1
    url: http://cool.website1:8080/home
    update_every: 5
    timeout: 5
