Hey guys,
We have a few services which are running on our servers and Net data has not been able to pick up on one of our services we are running on the instances. I can confirm the service is running.
I can confirm it is a systemd service, in regards to this, are there any limitations to Netdata in which could be preventing this to be detected or would there be some additional config to made?
Thanks
Tom
Hey @Tom_Milostic,
Thanks for reaching out. The most probable scenario is that Netdata is now “seeing” that application because it’s not defined in the configuration. Although we have a pretty robust default configuration file, it’s only normal that we may miss an app or two (although it’s surely a point of friction for you).
Luckily, we have a whole guide about doing just that, monitoring your services with Netdata.
If you have any question, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Hey @OdysLam
Thanks for the info here, I’ll go back have a review and implement the config update and see how it goes.
Thanks again
Tom
