Ok continue with the kickstart part, good luck
The installation was successful again, however the claiming command still detected a netdata install at /usr/local.
Now I found a symlink at /usr/local/bin which for some reason I couldn’t find previously:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root staff 24 Dec 15 2022 netdata -> /opt/netdata/bin/netdata
I guess this is the “installation” it detected. I removed it and it finally works.
Thanks again for all the help, and sorry for taking so much of your time. Have a good day, cheers!
w8, at this moment this is stucked to this version.
In a nutshell, every time that the kickstart call the claim command the agent is updated. You can just use --claim only to just perform the claiming operation
But the problem still persists, it might be an issue and it’s important to understand why the kickstart/any action brought you to this pit hole.
Sorry, I don’t quite get what you mean.
The problem no longer persists, because I deleted that symlink from /usr/local/bin and finally kickstart script could run flawlessly.
What do you mean by stuck to this version? You just said that the claim command will also update the agent with these parameters. Could you elaborate please? Thanks!
