apps.plugin Cannot Process /proc/<pid>/io or /proc/<pid>/fd Entries

Problem/Question

While installing Netdata 2.2.6, I am encountering repeated errors related to apps.plugin failing to process /proc/<pid>/io and /proc/<pid>/fd for multiple processes, including inotifywait and sleep.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install Netdata 2.2.6 using (netdata-installer.sh)
  2. Start Netdata (systemctl start netdata)
  3. Observe the logs using systemctl status netdata.service

I have another doubts also.



I have added some configurations for Cgroup and Diskspace and getting above errors.

        update every = 15
        check for new cgroups every = 60
        use unified cgroups = no
        enable cpuacct usage (per core CPU) = no
[plugin:proc:diskspace]
        update every = 60
        exclude space metrics on paths = /proc/* /sys/* /var/run/user/* /run/user/* %DOCKER_DATA_DIR% /dev /dev/shm /run /run/* %CUSTOM_STACKS_DIR%
        inodes usage for all disks = no
        # remove charts of unmounted disks = yes
        # check for new mount points every = 15
        # exclude space metrics on filesystems = *gvfs *gluster* *s3fs *ipfs *davfs2 *httpfs *sshfs *gdfs *moosefs fusectl
        # space usage for all disks = auto

if i am removing these configurations from netdata.conf then these error gets removed.
