newbie: best and intelligent way to send mail from local server, in proxmox enviroment

hi all, i would like implement netdata for monitoring my little proxmox enviroment, but I’m not at all expert about mail servers under linux.

I was reading something about postfix and sendmail but before breaking everything maybe it’s better to ask for advice.

What is the best path for my result?

To start, I would be very happy to receive an alert via email if a proxmox storage reached 100% or perhaps if it failed.
Does it make sense?

I currently already have basic proxmox alerts via email.

Hi, @cybermod. No further configuration is required. You’ll receive notifications at the email address you provided during the Proxmox installation process.

tnx dear for your time

i don’t undestand: who send me this mail? netdata or proxmox?
