RocketChat integration not working

We received the following email:

Notification Method Disabled

Dear user,

We have disabled your notification method with name RocketChat STG of type Rocket.Chat. This notification method belongs to space -monitoring-space. We disabled it because we could not deliver notifications with the provided configuration params.

Please check the configuration of your notification method and feel free to enable it again accessing the **[notifications settings page]

We have checked everything, and it appears to be configured correctly. The issue started after a Rocket.Chat update. All other integrations with Rocket.Chat continue to work as expected; only the Netdata integration is affected.

Rocket.Chat was updated from version 7.13.8 to 8.5.1.

The issue causes the notification method to become disabled. This happens with all of our Netdata-to-Rocket.Chat notification integrations.

Could you please help us determine whether there is any incompatibility with the new Rocket.Chat version?

Thanks for the detailed report. You nailed it, this is a compatibility issue with the newer Rocket.Chat release. Rocket.Chat 8.x tightened its validation for incoming webhooks and started rejecting some of our notification messages, which caused the delivery failures and led Netdata Cloud to automatically disable the method. Your configuration is fine, nothing is wrong on your side.

This is already fixed and deployed. Please re-enable the “RocketChat STG” notification method, and it should work again. Let us know if you run into any issues.
