How do I create an alarm to monitor application service or process

Hi,

I have a Ubuntu 18.04 server running a Java Tomcat and Node.Js applications. I am able to see the apps.uptime chart and can see Java and Node over there but cant find the documentation on how to monitor this if it exits or goes to zero. Any advice will be appreciated.

Did you ever got a solution for this? I want to monitor the tomcat/Apache/Java as well
