Silencing alerts only means emails?

Hi, I have edited the health.d/net.conf files and changed the to: line to silent on some of the checks.
I don’t get emails from them, but they still show up as alerts both on the local and cloud dashboards. Is this the intended behavior? I expected silent to be… well silent

Running 1.42.1 agent on debian 12.

Hi @etoel

Yes, this is intentional. It only “mutes” the notifications. If you wish to not run this particular alert at all, then you an disable it in netdata.conf using the enabled alarms configuration option. More information here → Daemon configuration | Learn Netdata

Thank you, that makes sense. The enable alarm option worked perfectly.
