Upgrade from debian 12 to 13 - can't find netdata repositories

I just upgraded from Debian 12 (bookworm) to 13 (trixie). The upgrade is done through apt and substituting bookworm with trixie in /etc/atp/sources.list. This is a well proven way of upgrading.

I figured I’d do the same for the netdata repos, but that failed.

Are there no Netdata repos for trixie yet?

From what I can tell, netdata works with bookworm repos on trixie so no immediate crisis, but if you can tell me where and when to try again for the trixie repos it would be great.

Thanks

We currently don’t have any packages published for Debian 13. Normally for Debian we would be adding repos about a week or two after the full freeze date for the release, but this time it slipped due to a number of other things we had going on (including the fact that the person normally responsible for that was on vacation when it would have normally happened).

Assuming we don’t run into issues building on Debian 13 (I don’t expect any, Debian is usually very good about things not breaking for us on new releases) we should have nightly builds published some time within the next week or so, and stable builds in the next minor release.

No worries at all. People need vacation

Do I have to change anything or will you handle this automatically during the update?

You will need to update the repository configuration on your end to point to the new paths once we’ve published packages, but other than that things should just work.
