I have a ping chart that I like to view on a somewhat zoomed-out timeframe. I am using stacked bars and the bars appear to have a fixed width of ~20px. This is very “fat” for me:
I prefer a narrow bar of 2-3px that will show finer detail:
If I zoom the chart out, for a split second the bars are shown narrow (as I would like them) but very quickly it snaps back to the fatter, aggregated bars. It seems I have no control over the aggregation value:
I took a screen recording that shows this behavior, am I missing some way to view the data as I would like to see it?
Hey!
You inspired us to create this possibility.
Go check it out and let us know what you think.

Wonderful news! But I can’t figure out how to adjust it? I clicked on the “zoom out” button but the bars still snap back to large width. I also tried clicking on the MAX() aggregation chip but do not see any way to adjust it there either.
I figured out that I can click the chart settings button and manually input a value to “Data resolution” - this gets me the view I am looking for (nice!) but the only problem is, it does not save with the dashboard page. Upon refresh, the setting reverts back to “auto”.
Hi @kanelatechnical - any tips on if it’s possible to save the resolution value with the chart settings so it stays permanent between page loads?
