Create New Account After Deleting Old One

I’m trying to create a new netdata account after deleting an old account with the same login (you could call this undelete, although I don’t care if the old user’s data is still there).

When I sign in on app.netdata.cloud/sign-in however, nothing happens on the page. Looking at the Chrome debug console, I see the error

{"errorCode":"MHvsDKnmea-517263372","errorMsgKey":"ErrAccountDeleted","errorMessage":"account deleted"}

Is there a way to either undelete this account, or fully delete it so I can create a new one in its place?

Hi @eatnumber1,
If the account was deleted, you should be able to create a new.
Following the normal sign-in process, a new account should be created. What’s blocking you for doing so?

Attempting to create an account produces the error I pasted above.

That’s really strange, as that error is not part of the login/sign-up.
Could you share your email with me on a private message pls, so I can investigate it further.

Aha, I figured it out. I was getting to netdata.cloud via my netdata instance’s login button, which… well… is not the signup flow, and requires the redirection to sign-up.

Just navigating to netdata.cloud and clicking sign-up fixed it. Thanks for the help!

Glad that it’s sorted out.
