I have configured the snmp collector on one of the node and added new device as a vnode. It turned out that once the vnode is configured, the hostname cannot be updated?
Please kindly suggest if there is a fix or any walkaround. Thanks!

Hi, @walthack. It seems you need to restart Netdata to update the virtual node hostname on app.netdata.cloud (if you access Netdata directly via IP you will see the new hostname). I think that is a bug, we will check it.
Understood. So to clarify, when adding any collector from the cloud portal, the configure is still stored on the parent host locally instead of netdata cloud, am I correct?
Yes, the configuration is stored on the node.
seems you need to restart Netdata to update the virtual node hostname on app.netdata.cloud
