Assistance Needed: Configuring Netdata to Monitor Python Software on Another Windows Server

hope this message finds you well. I am currently in the process of setting up Netdata on a Windows Server to monitor Python software that is installed on another Windows Server.

Here is what I have done so far:

  1. Successfully installed Netdata on the primary Windows Server.

  2. Retrieved the private key using the following command in Command Prompt:

type “C:\Program Files\Netdata\var\lib\netdata\netdata_random_session_id”

  1. Pasted the private key into the “Private Key” field in the Netdata dashboard and clicked “Claim.” However, the claim process does not seem to work, and I have been unable to proceed further.

Our ultimate goal is to configure Netdata to monitor the Python software running on the second Windows Server. I would appreciate guidance on the following:

• How to resolve the issue with the claim process.

• Steps to connect the second server (with Python installed) to be monitored by Netdata.

If you require additional information about our setup or logs, please let me know, and I’ll provide them promptly.

Thank you in advance for your assistance, and I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

Hello @mao ,

During the installation process, you can register your agent using the TOKEN available in your Netdata Cloud account.

To monitor the other Python server, I have a couple of questions:

  • Does it export data in a specific format, such as Prometheus?
  • Is it possible to install Netdata directly on that server?

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Thiago
